Background & History

Founder & Chairman Mr. Ajay K. Aggarwal hails from a renowned nationalistic family of India. His Maternal Great Grand Father Seth Mukand Lal Ji was a staunch follower and close associate of the Father of Nation “Mahatma Gandhi Ji”.

Apart from being actively involved in the freedom struggle, Seth Mukand Lal Ji was a great visionary and an industrialist. He along with his son-in-law Sh. B.D Aggarwal (Maternal Grand Father of Mr. Ajay K. Aggarwal) spearheaded the steel production movement in the 1930s and set up the first steel plant based on electric arc furnace route in Lahore. The foundation stone of this plant was laid by Mahatma Gandhi himself.
